As a social enterprise we care deeply about our planet. Roetz contributes to the circular economy by re-using bicycle frames in the production of our new designer e-bikes. The carefully selected and processed frames give the e-bikes a unique design, with the original lines of a vintage bike. All bikes are handbuilt at our fair factory in Amsterdam.
Roetz e-bikes come with an invisible all-in-one 250 W motor with an integrated battery. The motor hub is light, wireless and nicely concealed, ensuring easy maintenance. Unique in its kind, our e-bike motor is regenerative. This means the battery recharges when you pedal reversely or slow down. It saves energy and prolongs the e-bike range!
Not only do the circular frames provide a unique design, it also makes Roetz e-bikes lightweight and easy to ride. Because the weight is low (about 19-21 kg), we can guarantee a greater range and you can easily maneuver the bike. Would you still like to cycle without electric support sometimes? No problem. When the electrical assistance is switched off, the Roetz e-bikes ride effortlessly, just like a regular bicycle.
Roetz' e-bikes have four different support levels, from Eco to Turbo. Depending on the support level, the e-bikes have a range of 30 to 50 km per charge - more than enough for your daily ride! You adjust the support modes via the app or the optional wireless remote control. The turbo mode gets the maximum (40 Nm) out of the engine and helps you effortlessly uphill.
Roetz e-bikes are easy to operate via an e-bike app, and (optionally) via the remote control on the handlebars. With the user-friendly app, which is connected via Bluetooth to the motor hub in the rear wheel, you can set your favorite e-bike support level. Once paired, you can drive off without any worries and activate the e-bike by pedaling backwards three times. All connections are wireless, so the bike keeps its sleek design.
Design your e-bike exactly how you want it. Choose your favorite color and model and configure the bike to your liking. Go for Roetz's trademark wooden mudguards or cork handles, choose a front or rear carrier or other accessories and design your unique electric bicycle. All e-bikes are custom made and handbuilt in Roetz Fair Factory, by our team of experienced mechanics.

Motor
The range of a Roetz e-bike depends on which support type you choose, on average you can cycle in between 20 - 45 km. The battery is thereby regenerative: through backpedalling and braking, it charges itself automatically and increases the range. Also good to know: the bike itself it very lightweight, making it possible to ride the bike without support as well. Just like a normal bike.

The battery is of these e-bike models is fully integrated in the motorhub in the rear wheel of the bike, so you can't take it out separately. If this is a problem for you, take a look at our Tour+ e-bikes or compare all three e-bike models here
You can easily charge the battery by connecting the e-bike to a normal power outlet with the adapter. Take off the screw cap on the side of the rear wheel and plug in the cable. A full charge of an empty battery takes around 3 hours.
All our e-bikes are custom built and made to order in the Fair Factory in Amsterdam. We understand you want to ride as soon as possible, so we do our best to deliver as fast as possible. The estimated delivery time of an e-bike is around 8 - 10 weeks.
